1. Who we are

Daichi Logistics & Supply Chain (a service of Daichi Procurement Solutions) is a logistics and supply chain services provider registered in Kenya. We are the data controller responsible for the personal data we collect through this website.

For any privacy-related enquiry, contact us at privacy@daichiprocurement.com.

2. What data we collect

  • Freight quote requests: cargo details, origin, destination, weight, volume, urgency, your name, company, email, phone and any notes you provide.
  • Logistics & consulting enquiries: company name, contact details and information you share about your needs.
  • Email guide captures: name, work email and the type of goods you import or export.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information and analytics cookies.

3. How we use your data

  • To prepare and deliver freight quotes you request.
  • To respond to consulting and logistics enquiries.
  • To send the requested guides and related educational content.
  • To improve our website and services.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations in Kenya.

4. Legal basis

We process personal data on the basis of (a) your consent when you submit a form or download a guide, (b) the necessity to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, (c) our legitimate interest in operating and improving our services, and (d) compliance with legal obligations.

5. Sharing your data

We share personal data only with trusted partners required to deliver our services — vetted 3PL providers when you accept a quote, our hosting and email infrastructure providers, and our professional advisors. We never sell your personal data.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers (such as cloud hosting and email delivery) are located outside Kenya. We rely on appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses and providers committed to GDPR-equivalent protection.

7. Data retention

We retain freight quote and enquiry data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose collected and to comply with legal obligations — typically up to 7 years for commercial records. Email marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe.

8. Your rights

Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019 and the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Object to or restrict our processing of your data.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) in Kenya.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies to operate the website and analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

10. Security

We implement technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls and audited cloud infrastructure to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the website or by email where appropriate.
